Now you can buy an Enigma machine on Ebay. Current bid price is EUR 12,250.00, but the owner is reportedly rooting for a final bid of EUR 40,000.00 (!!!).

Enigma is a cipher machine used by the Nazis during WWII to encrypt communications. Enigma's level of encryption could reach up to 380 bits (and it was at WWII)

Projects and Projects

I’m working on two new projects. One (and the funniest) is a web application to help on researchs. The other one is a comercial (sales) software. They will be done with PHP (php sux), because I can’t use Ruby on rails (clients …).

At least, I’ll test mysql 5, PEAR and use a lot o AJAX.

Thunderbird Problems

I was facing some problems with thunderbird this day. Every time i try to start it (in a brand new Slackware installation at work), it gaves me this error:

/usr/lib/thunderbird-1.5/run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 10994 Segmentation fault      “$prog” ${1+”$@”}

Google didn’t help me to much . Anyone having this problem ? Solutions ? Please comment !
